Newborn Milk 1,5kg

Newborn Milk 1,5kg

Newborn Milk - complete, holistic milk feeding product for newborn mammals.

Dried milk for puppies, kittens and other small mammals that are unable to be (sufficiently) fed by their mother. Newborn Milk is based on full-cream goat’s milk because is by nature much better for puppies than cow’s milk. Goat’s milk is easier to digest and practically matches the mother’s milk in its composition of amino acids and fatty acids. Goat’s milk contains substances that stimulate and protect the intestines. All this together makes New Born Milk very mild for the not entirely developed digestion system of newly born puppies and other newly born mammals.

Feeding instruction:

When mother’s milk is completely absent (raising a puppy without its mother):

Young animals should be fed at regular intervals. Puppies should be fed every 2 hours until the age of 7 days, every 2.5 hours from the age of 8 to 14 days, and every 3 hours beyond the age of 2 weeks.

Feeding intervals can be prolonged at night, but this must take into account the condition and fitness of the puppies.Always check the puppies and their condition, whether they have bowel movements after meals, the appearance of their fur, and general fitness. Each puppy is an individual and so it is hard to determine the precise dose of milk. Generally, the dose should be 15 ml of milk per 100g of body weight and day.

Warning: If you raise puppies without their mother, don’t forget to massage their bellies and rectal area after each meal to support bowel movements.

When the amount of mother’s milk is insufficient...:

The intake of maternal milk is of paramount importance, particularly with respect to the nutrients contained in this milk.

If you use Newborn Milk as a food supplement, you can use half the amount of powder for the same volume of boiled water. This way, you will ensure the intake of liquids without affecting appetite. Puppies will try to suckle their mother and continue to stimulate her. Newborn Milk should also be given to the mother, as it will increase her natural milk production.

Warning: Always monitor the puppies’ health and adjust the standard dilution of the powder when needed!

Recommended for: breeding puppies without a mother, feeding large litters, lactating females.
